NPIDA Mandate

"To provide financial support to the Nora Pickett Irish Dance
Academy, their dancers, goals and objectives."
|

|
All profits from Eire Born performances are donated to the Nora
Pickett Irish Dance Society. A mandatory membership fee is also
collected from students of the NPIDA at the beginning of each
dance season to assist with the growing financial needs of the
NPIDS. Since it's inception in January 2001, the NPIDS has been
committed to supporting the NPIDA, its dancers and instructors.
Thanks to the diligent work of dedicated parent volunteers and
the wonderful, show-stopping performances of the Eire Born dancers,
we have managed to raise sufficient funds for 45 traditional
costumes (the red dresses) to date, and we're just getting started!
The Eire Born Canada Division performed a gallant 58 shows in
2002 to help raise funds for the NPIDS. In 2003 they have topped
off their record with 73 shows so far and the year is not even
over! Congratulations to Eire Born for setting the stage on
fire more and more with their passion for Irish dance!!

Ceili comes from the Irish definition of "party". Once
a year at the Nora Pickett Irish Dance Academy, we throw a party
you're not likely to forget! Join us in June, 2004 in North
Vancouver or Vancouver for our special yearend show, Eire Born
performances and annual ceili, which includes all students of
the NPIDA. This night is truly a massive celebration for the
dancers, families and friends of NPIDA. From door prizes to
dj's and live music, it's an event for the whole family! This
year we expect close to 500 people at this great Celtic event.
